Behind the scenes of a website transformation and how a long-standing client trusted me to help shape, manage, and grow it.
One of the most rewarding things in business is when a client doesn’t just return for a project, but brings you into a new one with full confidence that you’re the right fit. That’s exactly what happened when I was asked to take on the Learn To RV website.
My client, someone I’ve worked with for years, discovered the potential in this resource-rich site and immediately reached out. “I want you working side by side with me on this,” she said and I was thrilled to jump into this new adventure.
A Site with Heart and Strategy
From day one, we knew this wasn’t just a quick refresh. Learn To RV needed structure, strategy, and soul. I worked closely with the client to reorganize the site, clean up outdated content, and create a clear roadmap for its future.
We transitioned the site from GoDaddy to Duda.co, which was a game-changer for both function and flexibility.
Why Duda.co?
Moving to Duda gave us a professional, responsive foundation to build on:
- Mobile-Friendly Designs that look great on every screen
- User-Friendly Editor that empowers the client to make quick updates
- Custom Design Capabilities without the overwhelm
- Built-in Widgets & SEO Tools perfect for small business growth
It’s a platform that works as hard as we do, giving us room to evolve as the site (and its audience) grows.
My Role (Then and Now)
From the beginning, I’ve been deeply involved in the site’s organization, copywriting, blog development, and overall design flow. But my role didn’t stop once the redesign was live.
I continue to work alongside the client in an ongoing capacity, helping to:
- Maintain and improve the overall navigation and user experience
- Write and edit website copy and new pages as the site expands
- Plan, draft, and format blogs that educate and connect with RVers
- Ensure the visual branding and page design remain cohesive and polished
- Make ongoing platform updates, SEO enhancements, and layout adjustments
It’s an evolving project and I’m proud to be a consistent part of its growth.
Why This Site Matters
Learn To RV is more than just a website it’s a living, growing hub for RVers, roadschooling families, and those dreaming of life on the road. Every section, blog post, and visual we create is designed to support that journey with real-world insight and approachable, actionable content.
And for me, this project hits close to home, literally. My family and I have been full-time travelers for over 7.5 years, living life on the road while running my business remotely. I know firsthand the challenges, joys, and questions that come with the RV lifestyle, because we’ve lived them.
That experience gives me a unique perspective when working on a project like Learn To RV. I’m not just helping build a website, I’m helping create a resource that I know people like me will turn to, trust, and return to time and again.
